Mr. Singh's father is the main reason that kept him from being part of UNA Fiji for this long. "My father’s wish of having his son be represented in an event conducted by the UN and my passion for debating and diplomacy".
Mr. Singh is well known for his honesty and transparency at UNA Fiji.
Apart from this, Mr. Singh is a great football player and has represented the Suva football teams in all categories (u14, u16, u19, u21, and main team) from 2014-2021. Including the southern divisions under 19 teams and also Fiji under 20 teams in 2019. He also won the young player of the year in 2017.

Meet Hon. Ms. Awantika Narayan
Hon. Ms. Awantika Narayan is the Deputy Co-ordinator for the Hospitality Team at the United Nations Association of Fiji (UNA Fiji).
Ms. Narayan was born and bred in Suva and resides with her family in Davuilevu. She is a former student of MGM High School. Ms. Narayan has always wanted to become a veterinarian since she can even remember, however due to the suspension of that course in Fiji, she is currently taking a gap from studies till she decides what she would like to pursue instead but to make use of her time, she has done a caregivers course from the University of the South Pacific.
"I joined UNA Fiji in 2019 and my journey has been very educational where I learnt more than I did in school. I felt very included as the methods used in class have always been very interesting. I've learnt the most relevant knowledge in every aspect of life".
After graduating from the Basic Diplomacy Training Programme (BDTP) she became a member of UNA Fiji. In 2019, she was an Executive Committee Member and in 2021 she was the Assistant Co-ordinator for the BDTP. She resigned in January 2022 and rejoined in June.
"What I learnt from all my positions in general is the importance of team work, and how important communication and comprehension is when being part of a team. I also was able to learn how to deal with people and their different ways, personalities and behaviors".
One of the major change which Ms. Narayan was able to bring in her life is confidence. "I was able to gain more confidence and my ability to speak in front of people improved. Secondly, problem solving skills, be it in the smallest situation or the most complex. It has also taught me discipline; the importance of sticking to my words, not stooping another person's level and being true to yourself".
Ms. Narayan's favourite moment at UNA Fiji was her first summation. According to Ms. Narayan she performed it terribly or one of the disciplinary meetings where real teamwork was shown and we were on the winning side as the team at work pulled out every relevant and important document to support arguments.
